Jobbtorg Young Järva is looking for you to make a difference for Stockholm's youth!
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Stockholm is flourishing as the country's leading growth region. We work for a labor market where everyone can find their place – where employers find the right competence and where people get a chance to enter or return to working life. We support Stockholmers' journey towards work or studies through labor market initiatives and adult education.
This is Jobbtorg Stockholm
Jobbtorg Stockholm is a department within the labor market administration of Stockholm City that works with labor market initiatives. We provide support to young and adults who are outside the labor market – through conversations, coaching, collaboration, and educational pathways. Around 500 employees work with us across 24 units throughout the city.
Those of us who work within Jobbtorg Stockholm:
- Work towards goals and change direction when conditions change
- See the big picture and take into account the larger perspective
- Share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues
As an employee, this means demonstrating high self-leadership, and as a manager, it means demonstrating trust-based leadership.
Welcome to Jobbtorg Young Järva – part of Jobbtorg Stockholm
At this unit, we are 19 employees: job coaches, study and career counselors, administrative support, and the unit manager. Our culture is characterized by engagement, flexibility, strong team spirit, and a genuine focus on believing in and supporting our participants. We are a cheerful and driven group that strives for results but above all for every individual to succeed.
Our mission
Jobbtorg Young supports young adults aged 19–29 who are outside work and studies. Our mission is to strengthen the individual's opportunities for self-sufficiency through individually adapted support, guidance, and coaching towards work or studies. Together with the participant and in close collaboration with employers and other actors, we create sustainable pathways to work and studies.
Where we are
In your role, you will base yourself in our modern premises in Kista, close to public transport, but you will also work at our other offices around the city.
A day with us
No day is like the other. During the day, you meet participants in individual conversations where you work towards their goals for work or studies. You coach, motivate, and support everything from job hunting and CV writing to contacts with employers and educational providers.
A large part of the work takes place in collaboration with other actors, such as social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and employers. You document your work, follow up on participants' development, and adapt support based on their needs. Some days also involve study visits, workplace visits, or group activities.
At our place, collaboration, engagement, and a solution-focused approach are a natural part of everyday life.
We offer
- A secure employment within Stockholm City
- Health allowance of 3,000 SEK/year
- Collegial learning and good development opportunities
Your role
Your main tasks are to:
- Register and map young adults and create individual plans

- Plan and structure your work independently while contributing to the team's common results
- Document in the business system and collaborate with several actors, both internally and externally
- Participate in development work and contribute to a flexible and accessible operation
You will work with many processes in parallel. The calendar is your most important tool; you need to be able to schedule new registrations, follow-ups, and employer visits every week.
Your competence and experience
- Academic education with a focus on behavioral science, social studies, sociology, or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.

Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at considering every person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
At the labor market administration, we apply individual and differentiated salary setting and other collective agreement-bearing principles according to the collective agreement Main Agreement (HÖK). You can read more about what these conditions mean on SKR's website, skr.se.
At the labor market administration, we work to make it easy to develop by changing units and workplaces. This means that your employment is in the entire administration and that you may receive new assignments within other operations where your competence is needed most.
