Do you have experience as a People Business Partner and thrive in a role that combines strategic partnership with close operational support to managers? Do you have the ability to translate business needs, people strategy, and analysis into concrete activities and results? Then this might be the role for you.
We are looking for a driven and analytical People Business Partner to join our People function. You will contribute to developing our organization in line with our business needs and strategy. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in both operational HR practices and long-term work with organizational development, change, and leadership support.
As a People Business Partner at OKQ8, you work closely with the business and become a key partner to managers and leadership teams. You support day-to-day people issues, drive strategic initiatives, and contribute to strengthening the organization's capacity, leadership, and ability to meet both current and future needs. The role involves close collaboration with both station-based operations and strategic division environments, requiring you to switch between operational problem-solving and long-term development work.
In the role of People Business Partner, you will be a key player in:
- Collaborating with managers and leadership teams to develop the organization's capacity, ways of working, and capabilities
- Taking an active role in leadership team work and contributing to strategic issues, development initiatives, and change projects
- Coaching and challenging leaders on matters related to leadership, organization, change, and employee engagement
- Providing qualified support in labor law matters, union collaboration, negotiations, and other employee-related cases
- Using data, analysis, and business insights to identify priorities and proactively work on solutions that strengthen the business
- Independently driving initiatives that strengthen the organization's ability to meet both today's and tomorrow's challenges
- Contributing to joint projects within the People function and being involved in the company's broader People agenda
You will become part of an engaged People function where we work closely with each other and the business to create value, develop our managers and employees, and continue to be a valued strategic partner to the business.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an academic degree in Human Resources, Economics, Behavioral Science, or equivalent
- Has previous experience as a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner, or a similar role with both operational and strategic responsibilities
- Has experience supporting managers and leadership teams in complex and business-close environments
- Is confident in labor law, union collaboration, and negotiations, and can independently provide managers with support in qualified employee cases
- Has a good understanding of People processes and how they can be used to create value for both employees and the business
- Is a proactive change leader who dares to challenge established ways of working while building trust
- Works in a structured, data-driven, and analytical manner, focusing on creating results that make a difference
- Thrives on switching between operational issues and long-term strategic initiatives with a holistic view of organizational development
