The Social Services Department's mission is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has equal opportunities in life. The Workplace

The Authority Unit is part of the new department Prevention, Health, and Care within the Social Services Department. The unit is responsible for authority exercises in the areas of care and support, social psychiatry, LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and transport services. We work with, among other things, the Social Services Act (SoL), the LSS Act, and the Transport Services Act.

The workplace is located at Östergatan 71 and is easy to reach, with good transport connections and about a ten-minute walk from the bus and train station Trelleborg C.

Job Responsibilities

On the Care and Support Section, fourteen case processors work. As a case processor with us, you work with authority exercises according to the Social Services Act (2025:400) and other current legislation. The work group has a broad area that includes, among other things, processing applications regarding home care, day activities, and care and support housing. The section is also responsible for discharge from closed health care and follow-ups on the municipality's short-term housing.

You are responsible for the entire case processing process from application to follow-up, always with security, dignity, and structure as key words. The work is based on a holistic perspective of the individual and with their needs at the center, which takes place in collaboration with your closest team but also together with relatives, health care, other authorities, and care providers. You meet the individual and their network in everyday life, in life's changing phases, and contribute with both security and professional guidance.

You have access to support functions such as section manager, supervision, and system support, and work in well-functioning digital tools such as Lifecare, IBIC, and Mina Planer.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another equivalent higher education or university education. You have an interest in and professional experience in processing cases according to the Social Services Act. You are confident in your authority role and have good knowledge of current legislation and legal practice.

It is meritorious if you have experience in processing cases within care and support and transport services, IBIC, the operational system Mina Planer, and Lifecare.

You have good computer skills and express yourself well in speech and writing. A B driver's license is a requirement.

To succeed in the role, you are quality-conscious and have the ability to work independently. You are structured and have an easy time planning, prioritizing, and following up on your work, even during periods with high inflow. Your attention to detail and focus on quality contribute to secure and legally sound case processing. We value good collaboration skills and working together to achieve common goals is important to us.
