IES Helsingborg is currently looking for a full-time Activity Leader.

International English School (IES) in Helsingborg is a comprehensive school (grades 4–9). The school is centrally located in southern Helsingborg. IES Helsingborg has approximately 500 students, and we opened our doors in 2017. The school has been newly renovated and boasts a fantastic character.

We are a bilingual school where both English and Swedish are used in daily teaching. We focus on a safe school environment, language development, and ensuring our students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

About the Role

We are now seeking a full-time Activity Leader starting in August.

As an Activity Leader here, you will plan and implement break-time and after-school activities together with your closest colleagues. You will also provide support and stimulation to students throughout the school day, based on their specific needs, promoting development and independence during breaks.

At the end of the school day, we offer 'Junior Club' for students in grades 4–6. Junior Club is open until 16:30, during which time you will lead planned activities with the children, such as sports, crafts, excursions, and more.

We also offer Move with IES, a health initiative designed to increase students' activity levels and provide opportunities to try new activities, games, and sports.

Qualifications

You enjoy planning and organizing based on operational goals and your assignment. You collaborate well, have strong organizational skills, and look forward to being a significant part of our development work. You see opportunities in change and adapt your working style based on student needs. You are positive and flexible.

You have documented work experience as an Activity Leader or in similar youth-related professions. We believe the right person for this role has experience in work where children, relationship-building, and activity planning are the focus. We look for someone who likes taking responsibility, is open to development, and is flexible.

Experience leading children's or youth sports is a plus.
