Do you want to combine operational social work with leadership, quality assurance, and development? We are now looking for an engaged and confident Team Leader (equivalent to a Senior Social Secretary) who wants to contribute to lawful authority enforcement and a sustainable work climate within social services.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support social secretaries in their daily work, contribute to development issues, and ensure quality in case processing – always with the individual's best interest in focus.
About the Workplace
In the city, the Social Services Administration is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.
We are in the process of shaping ourselves according to the new social services model, focusing on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, interventions and services, and housing. We have high ambitions. But to succeed, we need you.
Within the authority, we have five units working with investigation and follow-up. Each unit is led by a Unit Manager who has two Team Leaders as support in operational leadership. All Team Leaders have regular joint meetings and strong collegial support within the Authority and the units.
Responsibilities
As a Team Leader, you work closely with the Unit Manager and colleagues to lead and coordinate daily work within authority enforcement. You serve as a method and operational support for employees and contribute to developing working methods, routines, and quality.
Responsibilities may include, among other things:
- providing support and guidance to social secretaries in complex cases
- ensuring lawful case processing and documentation according to current legislation
- introducing and supervising new employees
- participating in development and quality work
- collaborating with internal and external actors
- contributing to operational planning and follow-up together with the manager
What We Offer
- meaningful and developmental work
- engaged colleagues and close leadership
- opportunity to influence and develop operations
- competence development
- flexible working methods and wellness benefits (wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK per year)
Qualifications
We are looking for you who
- have a degree in Social Work
- have at least 4 years of experience in authority enforcement within social services/adult services
- have good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Mental Health Care (LVM)
- are confident in your professional role and accustomed to making independent decisions
- have good skills in supervising, supporting, and motivating others
- express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
It is an advantage if you have:
- experience in leadership or coordinating roles
- experience in change and development work
- training in areas such as supervision, Signs of Safety, CAN, or ASI
As a person
We are looking for someone who is structured, solution-oriented, and has good judgment. You easily build trusting relationships and thrive in a role where you switch between support, coordination, and quality assurance. You remain stable even in pressured situations and contribute to a positive collaborative climate.
