Your role with us

We are looking for more employees who want to work as personal assistants. In this recruitment, we are seeking staff members who wish to work with our clients who have autism. The workplaces are located in Kristianstad and Åhus respectively. To succeed in this role, we believe that you, as an applicant, have several years of experience working with this target group.

The main tasks involve providing our clients with individual support and care, developing and maintaining abilities and communication, taking into account their disabilities. You support the clients' participation in leisure and cultural activities, participation at all levels (individual, group, and societal), as well as self-determination and personal integrity.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have upper secondary education as a childcare worker, nursing education, or a 3-year upper secondary education with supplementary training as a personal assistant. You have experience working with people with functional variations and, where applicable, performing medical tasks delegated by a nurse or assisting the client with self-care. You have knowledge of autism. We would appreciate it if you had experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), low-affective approach, and clarifying pedagogy.

Since the work requires communication and documentation, we assume you are computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is a requirement for the position that you can cycle and swim. A B-driver's license for manual transmission is an advantage.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills, are stress-resistant, and flexible to handle changing situations in work and in meetings with clients. You are solution-focused and do your utmost to support the client. Furthermore, you have the ability to independently plan your work and make your own decisions, while also respecting decisions made by others and carrying out work on behalf of others.

In the event of an employment offer, you are required to present a criminal record extract in accordance with current legislation.

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and people who need functional support, as well as people who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
