About the Workplace

In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

We are currently looking for hourly employees for our housing facilities serving individuals with substance abuse and/or psychosocial problems, as well as individuals with disabilities.

We are hiring for several different workplaces, so there is some variation in the qualification requirements for the assignments. Working in our housing facilities or providing housing support in social apartments involves a high pace and great variation in tasks. For those studying, this is a great opportunity to gain experience in social work and a good way to relate to this in your studies.

We work to counteract homelessness within Helsingborg City.

Our employees work on schedules during weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Solo work may occur.

We work in the client's home, where smoking and pets may be present.

Job Responsibilities

Support Housing We work in a motivating and supportive manner together with the individual in their strive to manage an independent life. To achieve this, we work with methods such as ESL (Evidence-based Support and Learning). All clients must have an implementation plan with goals and reasonable sub-goals developed together with the client based on their own conditions and the mandate formulated by the social worker. We have various types of support housing: Housing First, Support and Housing Team, Support Housing Family, Sköldenborg, Malmögatan, Plutogatan 11, Carnot, Elineberg, and Fenix.

Housing with Special Service The tasks performed include social support, activation, and motivational work, as well as basic care, such as support with cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene, diet, and meal planning. Nursing care interventions (HSL) in collaboration with and delegated by nurses occur. The operation works with individual planning, offers social contact with the individual, and enables cultural and leisure activities. Care interventions are also present here. We have two housing facilities: BSS Maria Sol and Plutogatan 9.

Investigation Housing The tasks performed include social support, activation, and motivational work, as well as basic care, such as support with cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene, diet, and meal planning. Nursing care interventions (HSL) in collaboration with and delegated by nurses occur. The operation works with individual planning, offers social contact with the individual, and enables cultural and leisure activities. At the investigation housing, clients' support needs are mapped. Our investigation housing is located at Hebsackersgatan.

Qualifications for Support Housing

Education as a social worker or treatment pedagogue, treatment assistant, social worker (socionom), or equivalent with at least two years of post-secondary education, or currently undergoing education.

• Knowledge about substance abuse and addiction and/or knowledge about social psychiatry.
• Experience working with substance abuse issues and/or social psychiatry in some form through work or practice.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Qualifications for Housing with Special Service

Education as a support assistant, care worker, assistant nurse, or equivalent, or if you are currently undergoing education.

• You must perform delegated nursing care tasks (HSL) in your work. You will receive internal training and take a knowledge test when you start your employment.
• Experience in psychiatric care and social psychiatry with a focus on adults.
• Experience in substance abuse care.

A valid driver's license (Category B) and willingness to drive are required for all positions.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
