The responsibilities of the Culture and Leisure Administration include Klostret in Ystad, Ystad Art Museum, Ystad Library, Youth House, Culture School, Ystad Arena Baths and Halls, Nybrostrand Baths, sports facilities, and close contact with the association life. Approximately 100 employees work here to create good conditions for an stimulating and active leisure time and a rewarding, enriching cultural life for the residents of Ystad.

The central aspect of Youth House is the open activity that is conducted year-round on a large scale. By operating open activities as a natural meeting place, opportunities are provided for informal and everyday meetings between young visitors and adults. In this open activity, young people with different lifestyles, backgrounds, genders, and origins can meet in open and voluntary encounters based on a solution-focused approach and treatment, where the working method is "Youth in focus".

DUTIES
As an employee in the open leisure activity, you are there for the young people in Ystad Municipality and contribute to them having a meaningful and active leisure time. The leisure leader's task is to capture young people's ideas and spark interest in various leisure activities.

You will drive and lead development issues with a focus on children and young people within the leisure area, following societal trends through innovation while also respecting traditions in the field. You initiate, plan, and carry out activities and events for or together with the young people. You collaborate with staff within the activity, other municipal operations, and association life.

You are part of a team where you together plan, coordinate, and analyze the work for the development of children and young people's leisure time. You will drive your own projects and coordinate ongoing projects within the open leisure activity, where you will also work on marketing the activity, its spirit, and the common profile that is overarching for the entire Open Leisure Activity.

You will work closely with the young people in the activity and also strive to capture young people's wishes and needs on other arenas where young people might be found. You initiate, plan, and conduct trial occasions, group activities, and leisure activities, also in collaboration with other actors, organizations, and associations within the municipality. You have the ability to meet young people in a solution-focused way, and through play, games, exercises, or courses, we together, in great community, make the young people's leisure time a rich experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
You are educated as a Leisure Leader or have equivalent competence that the employer assesses as equal or relevant for the job role. You also have broad documented experience within youth clubs and/or Youth House.

We are looking for you who are service-oriented, orderly, and structured, as the position also includes responsibility for both building and premises as well as furniture and technical equipment.

We assume that you have good language skills and can express yourself both verbally and in text, preferably in combination with images/video on our Facebook, Instagram, and other social media channels that are within your responsibility to update and develop. You have knowledge of various image programs and some layout experience since we produce our printed materials ourselves. You have a high degree of independence as it is expected that you can plan your work yourself. You are confident in yourself, have high social competence, and are willing to see challenges in new areas.

We place great importance on your personal suitability for this role, as parts of the job focus on the development of new youth cultures, collaboration with new cultural and leisure actors, and project management to meet the activity's future development areas.

Our activities are tobacco-free, and we therefore assume that you are tobacco-free during working hours.

Previous work with young people is a requirement. We would like you to have experience in outreach work. You should find it easy to connect with and engage children and young people.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-28 Or by agreement.
Working hours: Schedule. Working several evenings but also daytime work.
