About the position
Personal assistance is a service provided under the LSS Act (The Act concerning Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired People). As a personal assistant, your main task will be to help the customer with whatever arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
The customer is a 50-year-old man living in Bara, just outside Malmö. The customer's individual needs dictate the workday, and tasks may include help with mobility, personal care, training, communication, as well as household chores and activities inside and outside the home.
Who are you?
The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer.
As a person, you need to be flexible, social, and have a sense of humor.
Requirements for the position:
- Previous experience working in healthcare/care or as a personal assistant
- Valid B-driver's license and access to a personal car (to commute to work)
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good physical fitness
- Non-smoker (during working hours)
Personal suitability will be given great weight. Our customer prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.
Working hours, employment percentage, and salary
The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment percentage of approximately 50%. Work shifts are scheduled for days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are varied: 09:00–14:30, 09:00–13:30, 16:00–21:55, and 17:30–21:55.
Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
Start date: Immediately or according to agreement.
