Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients as an extended CFO support function while contributing to their development through digitalization, automation, and modern working methods.
About the Opportunity
As a Senior Economist, you will become part of a highly experienced team working with accounting, reporting, year-end closing, and advisory services for international companies active in the Swedish market. In this role, you will act as the lead advisor for a portfolio of international clients, functioning as an extended CFO support. You will be a strategic partner to your clients, responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery while driving development, efficiency, and improvement initiatives within their finance functions. The work spans from ongoing reporting and closing to structure, governance, and change management. The role involves close collaboration with client management, international parent companies, and colleagues within a global network.
The role offers a wide variety of qualified accounting issues, and your responsibilities will include, among other things:

- Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Preparation of annual reports in accordance with K2, K3, and IFRS
- Reporting to parent companies and international groups
- Client contact and advisory services within the accounting field
- Collaboration with colleagues in audit, tax, VAT, and payroll
- Participation in system implementations and process development
- Working in modern business systems such as Xledger, Netsuite, and SAP
The role offers an exciting combination of operational accounting, client dialogue, and international issues in an environment where you have the opportunity to continue developing alongside highly competent colleagues.
Is This You?
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in accounting who wants to continue developing in an international and business-oriented environment. We believe you have:
- An academic degree in economics or accounting
- Several years of experience in qualified accounting and year-end closing from an accounting firm or consultancy
- Experience with international companies or group structures
- Good understanding of K2, K3, and preferably IFRS
- Very good proficiency in Swedish and English
- Good system competence and interest in digital solutions
It is an advantage if you have worked in systems such as Xledger, Netsuite, SAP, or similar business systems. As a person, you are curious, business-minded, and solution-oriented. You enjoy client contact, take responsibility for your deliverables, and easily adapt to new businesses and processes. Furthermore, you are flexible, unpretentious, and appreciate working in teams where knowledge sharing and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.
About Our Client
Our client is a consultancy-driven accounting firm that works closely with its clients as an integrated part of their finance function. They combine qualified accounting with business-oriented advisory services and have a clear focus on building efficient, scalable finance functions and driving development through structure, digitalization, and smart working methods. Here you work together with experienced colleagues in a culture characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a genuine commitment to creating value for clients.
The culture is family-like, unpretentious, and ambitious, with a clear ambition to be at the forefront of modern financial management and digital development.
