To our client, a well-known player in the financial industry, Capega is recruiting a Backoffice Manager for the company's asset management division. You will take on a central role in the organization and help shape the company's backoffice during a period of growth. The position is located in premium offices in central Stockholm.
Job Description
As a Backoffice Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate, and controlled administration of the company's securities trading, depot operations, and transaction flows. You are the process owner for the backoffice function and are responsible for developing, documenting, and operating these in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal guidelines, and the company's quality objectives.
You will establish, develop, and monitor processes, routines, system support, and controls within your area of responsibility, as well as coordinate and prioritize daily operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily backoffice operations, including order handling, settlement, cash management, depot administration, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
- Ensure correct reporting of transactions and taxes, as well as high quality in register and customer data.
- Own, develop, and document backoffice processes, routines, and internal controls.
- Identify and handle operational risks, incidents, and control deficiencies, ensuring compliance with internal regulations and external requirements.
- Drive improvement initiatives, digitalization, and automation to create efficient processes.
- Act as a client for internal and external system suppliers.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily work within the backoffice and serve as an operational support to colleagues.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Investment Management, IT, Compliance, Risk, and external suppliers to ensure high quality and efficient process flows.
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for you who have an academic degree from a university or college in economics, preferably with a focus on finance. You have at least five years of experience working in backoffice, with a focus on clearing and settlement, from a bank, securities company, or asset management firm.
You have a strong interest in systems and processes, as well as good administrative skills with high attention to detail and structure in your work approach. Furthermore, you are analytical, responsible, and thrive in a role where you drive improvements and ensure efficient workflows.
We would like you to have the potential and ambition to develop into a leadership role in the long term. Therefore, you have good collaboration skills, a natural sense of responsibility, and the ability to build trust with colleagues and other stakeholders.
You speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English.
