Do you want to work with experienced, creative, and positive colleagues at a small school with the best students in the world? We are looking for a certified teacher/special needs teacher for Heby Adapted Primary School.

The Role

• Plan, lead, implement, and evaluate work in student groups.
• Adapt teaching and support based on the varying needs of the student group and individual students to create good conditions for learning and development.
• Work long-term and purposefully with respect for the school's value base.
• Be aware of your own need for development and take initiative for your own learning.
• Teach a variety of subjects/subject areas, both practical and theoretical.

You will have close collaboration with classroom assistants and also cooperate with other teachers, your work team, and the student health services regarding the students. In your role, you will also collaborate with guardians, associations, social services, and other actors. You will have students in all grades, but this year the position is targeted at grades 6-9.

Who We Are

We are a tightly knit work group that works towards common goals and is driven by having a high-quality workplace with a good work environment. You will work together in a teaching team, which currently consists of six teachers. The work group also includes classroom assistants linked to the classes. The school operates in the same premises as Heby School, with proximity to nature and the municipality's sports facilities including a swimming pool. There are good commuting options to Heby by both bus and train.

Like us, you collaborate with the work team for the benefit of the students. You thrive in the role of leading a group, distributing work in the classroom. You continuously work with additional adaptations in the classroom and clear pedagogy.

We want you to:

• Have a teaching license, and we would appreciate if you have a special needs teacher degree, with a focus on intellectual disability.
• Have experience working with students in need of special support or who have intellectual disabilities.
• Communicate fluently in written and spoken Swedish.
• Use the school's digital tools in a secure and appropriate manner in daily work.

We see you as self-reliant and enjoy collaboration. Experience working within adapted primary school is considered an asset. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are considered for the position, you will need to show an extract from the police's criminal record register before employment. Interviews for the position will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
