About the Workplace

The unit for Mother Tongue Teachers and Study Advisors currently consists of approximately 20 employees who teach and advise in 18 different languages. The operations are organizationally placed under Gröna Dalenskolan in Bålsta. The school principal has overall responsibility for the operations. The organization also includes two deputy principals, one of whom has operational responsibility for mother tongue teachers and study advisors and is their direct manager.

Your Responsibilities

As a Mother Tongue Teacher, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and following up on teaching in accordance with the current curriculum and course plan. You assess and document students' knowledge development and assign grades where applicable. The role also involves contact and collaboration with guardians. You are part of a team of 20 mother tongue teachers and study advisors. Your employment is based at Gröna Dalenskolan, but teaching may take place at several different schools within Håbo Municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have Swedish teacher education and teacher certification with eligibility in Finnish, French, or Albanian. Experience from working in primary school and teaching mother tongue is considered an advantage. Other documented teacher education or relevant pedagogical training may also be advantageous. The work requires you to be flexible, receptive, and have good teamwork skills, while also being able to plan and carry out your tasks independently.

We are looking for someone who

We are looking for a certified teacher with strong subject knowledge and a pedagogical approach that is based on students' different needs and prerequisites. You have the ability to adapt teaching and create good learning environments for students of different ages and with varying linguistic backgrounds.

You express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and the relevant mother tongue, and you have good collaboration skills in contact with colleagues, guardians, and school leadership.

We are recruiting Mother Tongue Teachers in the following languages:

  • Finnish: 50%
  • French: 10%
  • Albanian: 10%

A valid extract from the Police Register of Offenses must be presented prior to the offer of employment.
