Electrification and digitalization are among the most significant areas for the transition to sustainable societies. The Department of Electrical Engineering conducts successful research and education in these fields, including renewable energy sources and electric vehicles, industrial IoT, 6G communication, and wireless sensor networks. We also conduct research and education in Life Science, health technology, smart electronic sensors, and medical systems. The Department of Electrical Engineering is an international environment with approximately 170 employees contributing to important technical energy and health solutions at the Ångström Laboratory.

We are now looking for an E+ Assistant (E+-amanuens).

Responsibilities

  • As an E+ Assistant, you will be involved in the development and evaluation of programs (target matrices, compiling course evaluations), broadened recruitment, and increased participation in the undergraduate and master's programs in electrical engineering.
  • You are expected to engage in initiatives aimed at broadening recruitment to the electrical engineering programs, specifically to increase the proportion of women in the programs.
  • Tasks may vary but include organizing inclusive networking events and targeted recruitment efforts, such as high school visits or job fairs, to attract a broader and more diverse target group.
  • Part of the work will be carried out in collaboration with PR assistants from the aforementioned programs and the E-section (student union).

Qualifications

  • To be employed as an assistant, you must be admitted to a first-cycle or second-cycle education. This position is aimed at students admitted to the Undergraduate or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, with good academic results.
  • The work requires you to be able to work in a structured and methodical manner and to compile collected information.
  • The role involves many contacts, so personal suitability is highly valued.
  • We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as being curious and willing to learn, having the ability to work independently and take responsibility, while also collaborating well with both students and teachers.
  • You must be able to communicate clearly in both spoken and written Swedish and English, as well as plan and structure your work effectively.

Qualifications that are meritorious

Previous experience with teaching, course development, or the E-section is meritorious.

About the position

Fixed-term employment, according to HF Chapter 5 Section 12. Part-time (10%). Period: 2026-08-31 to 2027-06-30. Location: Uppsala.
