Description of the field of employment: Information Technology.
Duties:
- Teaching and administration. Teaching responsibilities include course coordination and course administration. Teaching in programming, software development, and related areas is expected.
- Follow developments within the own field of study and societal development in general that are relevant to work at the university.
- The employment may include education-related administrative and leadership tasks, such as leading teaching teams, course renewal within the employment area, and supervising undergraduate students.
Qualifications:
- A degree with subject specialization from higher education in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Pedagogical competence. It is required that the pedagogical competence and subject specialization are relevant to the field of employment and the duties included in the position.
- The applicant must have completed higher education pedagogical training relevant to university operations, comprising ten weeks, or acquired equivalent knowledge. If there are special reasons, the higher education pedagogical training may be completed during the first year of employment.
- Documented ability to teach in Swedish or English, unless special reasons apply.
- Personal qualities required to perform the duties of the position well.
- Documented experience of programming at a university or college, or relevant programming experience from industry, is required.
Evaluation criteria for applicants meeting the above qualifications
In the selection among qualified applicants, particular weight will be attached to both documented subject specialization and pedagogical competence, with special emphasis placed on pedagogical competence.
Subject specialization may refer to a completed degree at the doctoral level. In addition to academic merit, experience from other activities, including for example technology development, may be considered.
Pedagogical competence refers to educational and teaching merit. In addition to academic merit, educational and teaching merit from other activities, including for example supervision, internal training, or mentorship programs, may be considered. When assessing pedagogical competence, pedagogical quality should be the primary focus. The extent, both breadth and depth, should also be given importance. When assessing pedagogical competence, particular weight will be placed on merits within programming technology (including but not limited to programming languages, software development, software design).
Furthermore, the ability to plan, initiate, lead, and develop education and teaching, as well as the ability to link teaching to research based on research in the current subject, subject didactics, and higher education pedagogy, will be given importance. The ability to interact on higher education pedagogical issues with actors within and outside the university is also part of the pedagogical competence.
Administrative competence is significant for the position and will be given great weight. Administrative competence is demonstrated, among other things, by the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in an effective and purpose-adapted manner, as well as by the ability to set and adhere to timeframes. The competence includes overall operational planning and the ability to handle resources in a way that reflects the organization's priorities, as well as the ability to work structured and with an awareness of goals and quality. Entrepreneurship is also included in administrative competence.

Collaboration competence: Collaboration competence is significant for the position and will be given weight.
Industrial expertise is considered meritorious for the position and will be considered.
All merits must be documented so that both quality and extent can be assessed.
