Gåvsta School is a preschool to grade 9 school located in Rasbo, just outside Uppsala, with good commuting options. You can reach us easily and comfortably via several regional bus lines. By bus, it takes approximately 20–30 minutes from the central station. If you choose to drive, it is approximately a 15-minute drive from Gränby Center.
The school has approximately 500 students and is organized into four work teams: preschool to grade 3, grades 4–6, grades 7–9, and school-age childcare. The nature-rich and culturally historical surroundings also provide rich opportunities to integrate the environment into teaching and promote physical activity, with close access to jogging tracks, ball fields, and sports halls. The school is part of the municipality's IBIS network.

Description of Duties
As a teacher in this position, you will teach Home Economics and Consumer Studies. You will have the opportunity to make a difference for our students by contributing your competence, knowledge, and engagement to work with the student at the center to help the school achieve its goals. You plan, implement, evaluate, and develop the pedagogical work according to the curriculum and other governing documents.
We strive for collegial learning, where you develop the operations in close collaboration with your colleagues. Together, you work to ensure that all students thrive and develop based on their individual prerequisites. The position includes being the class coordinator for a grade 7 class together with a colleague.
In this recruitment, we are open to both full-time and part-time employment.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a Swedish teaching license or are awaiting a license with eligibility to teach Home Economics and Consumer Studies. The position requires good knowledge of the school's governing documents as well as the primary school curriculum. Good oral and written skills in Swedish are a prerequisite for the position. Eligibility to teach mathematics is an advantage.
As a person, you take initiative and start activities that yield good results. You adapt easily to changed circumstances and can change your perspective and approach. You have a good understanding that students have different prerequisites for acquiring knowledge and adapt your way of communicating to the recipient.
You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and agile manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. In your role, you lead and motivate others towards common goals, distribute responsibility, and create engagement and participation within the group.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
