Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 residents, a strong business community, residential environments close to the sea, and good transport links. The municipality has a well-developed cultural and club life, as well as excellent conditions for outdoor activities and recreation. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 residents by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region Municipal Association, which serves as a forum for cooperation and experience sharing, as well as in several other inter-municipal collaborations.

The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. Culture and Leisure and the Employment Unit are part of the Education Sector. This position is located within the Culture Unit, but the work will take place in close collaboration with the Employment Unit. At the Culture House Fregatten, numerous events and exhibitions are arranged every day.

Job Description

Café Bryggan in the culture house opened in mid-2025 and prepares and serves coffee breaks and light meals to visitors of the Culture House, as well as to the house's conference guests and associations hosting events in the building.

The café is operated in collaboration with the Employment Unit and is an important part of the municipality's work to help more residents enter the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency. Within the café's operations, residents who are far from the labor market will be offered opportunities for work training and adapted employment.

As a coordinator, you will, together with a supervisor from the Employment Unit (AME), have full responsibility for the operation, personnel management, and economy of the café. Collaboration with the Employment Unit and other units within the municipality will also be a central part of your assignment.

The work is independent, yet you will have an outward-facing role and be part of various networks and collaborations to develop the café. To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible and creative, able to plan long-term while also quickly grasping what is urgent at the moment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Documented experience (at least two years) from running a café, conference, or restaurant business, involving responsibility for economy, personnel, and operations.
  • Experience in supervising and supporting individuals who are currently outside the labor market and face challenges beyond unemployment, such as mental health issues, substance abuse, and/or limited Swedish language skills, on their path to work and self-sufficiency.
  • Good knowledge of labor market policy measures.
  • Are responsible, proactive, and results-oriented, as well as outgoing and focused on networking.
  • Have a good attitude towards people, high social competence, and a positive mindset.

The position is a project employment.
