About us

Bollstanäs School is a municipal F–5 school with approximately 500 students and 60 employees. Our school is a blend of old and new. The main building was inaugurated in the early 1930s, and the extension was added in 2013. The school is located by the shore of Norrviken, giving us the opportunity to use nature in learning. The school is characterized by safety, engagement, and knowledge, and we hope you want to contribute to our continued work.

Bollstanäs School has received the award School for Sustainable Development for our work on sustainable development. We work with sustainability in environmental, social, and economic aspects, among other things through education, practical measures, and civic engagement. One of our lead teachers drives this work together with teachers and students, with the help of the Student Council. We work to ensure that students become responsible and conscious citizens.

About the position

We are looking for you who want to work as a support teacher in grades 4–5. A requirement is that you are qualified and can teach core subjects. In addition, we would appreciate it if you had a broad qualification. Your future colleagues are qualified, experienced, and competent. The team also has a special needs educator attached to it, as well as resources. You have the opportunity to receive support and supervision from the school's student health team, which consists of a special needs teacher/special needs educator, school psychologist, school nurse, and school leadership.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• Are a qualified teacher in Swedish, Mathematics, and English for grades 4–6 or 1–6.
• Have good ability to teach and work with group processes.
• Have experience and knowledge of using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in teaching.
• Have good knowledge of children's learning and development and are well-versed in the curriculum's goals and can implement them in your daily work.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Education and experience in the field of special needs pedagogy.
• A broad subject qualification.
• Experience teaching students in grades 4–6.

We are looking for you who have the ability to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for the students. You are a clear and structured leader. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and have a desire to contribute to the development of the school's operations and are well-versed in the school's governing documents.

You see differences as an asset, and it is obvious to you to be able to adapt methods and activities based on the needs you identify in your student group. You are a skilled communicator in both speech and writing and feel comfortable engaging in all types of conversations and meetings.
