About us

Bollstanäs School is one of Upplands Väsby Municipality's municipal primary schools. We are a preschool class to year 5 school (F-5) with approximately 500 students and 60 employees. Bollstanäs School is an inspiring workplace with dedicated colleagues and good opportunities for outdoor pedagogy. We strive to create a dynamic school environment so that every student can reach their full potential. We actively work to promote creativity, collaboration, and curiosity among our students.

About the position

You will teach our students in years 3–5 in music. The position also includes teaching English or another subject in year 4 or 5. You are expected to plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching, as well as create a safe and stimulating learning environment for the students. Collaboration with mentors, colleagues, guardians, and external authorities is included. The position as a music teacher also involves organizing and leading the school's traditions at Lucia and school closing ceremonies. You will participate in the school's development work and contribute to a positive work climate.

The position is a temporary vacancy (vikariat) during the academic year 2026/2027.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• Are a qualified teacher with authorization to teach music and English.
• Have experience and knowledge of using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in teaching and as support.
• Have good knowledge of children's learning and are well-versed in the goals of the curriculum and can translate this into your daily work.
• Are a good communicator and collaborate well with colleagues and guardians.

Experience in leading school traditions is an advantage.

We are looking for you who have the ability to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for the students. You adapt easily and find solutions through a flat hierarchy focused on common goals. You are a clear and structured leader. It is also important that you build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and have a desire to contribute to the development of the school's operations and are well-versed in the school's governing documents.

You see differences as an asset, and it is natural for you to make adjustments to methods and activities based on the needs you identify in your student groups.
