About American High School, Stockholm - Campus Frescati Hage

In the fall of 2023, we opened a high school at Brunnsviken in the nature-rich Norra Djurgårdsstaden district. The school is entering its fourth academic year this fall, with approximately 500 students studying on the Natural Science, Social Science, or Business programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching team with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

We are looking for a teacher to instruct our students in mathematics. You are passionate about teaching and collegial collaboration, and you want to help develop and create a shared vision for mathematics education at the school. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our pedagogical structure, for which you will receive guidance. You will work closely with an engaged and cohesive teaching team, where collaboration and collegial learning are a natural part of daily life. You will teach in a digital environment using digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature. Instruction is delivered in both Swedish and English.

The position also includes class mentoring responsibilities.

This is a permanent part-time position at 60%, starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date August 3, 2026.

Your Profile

For this position, a Swedish teaching license and eligibility to teach mathematics at the high school level are required. Experience in teaching mathematics, preferably at the high school level, is highly meritorious. You have a strong commitment to teaching and wish to develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, and you share our pedagogical philosophy:

You are expected to have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to use a broad spectrum of digital learning materials and possess solid digital competence.
