Kyrkskolan Unit

The Kyrkskolan unit comprises two primary schools: Kyrk- and Balderskolan. Kyrk- and Balderskolan is a grades F–6 school centrally located in Danderyd with approximately 400 students. Balderskolan is beautifully situated in a residential area in western Danderyd, covering grades F–3 with approximately 200 students.

We are now looking for a Resource Assistant at 50%

Responsibilities

As a Resource Assistant, you play a vital role in students’ entire school day. You work both care-oriented and pedagogically to create safety, structure, and positive relationships. You support students socially and academically during lessons and contribute to making the after-school program meaningful, accessible, and developmental.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Assisting students with daily care needs (clothing, hygiene, meals, etc.)
• Promoting a sense of safety for the entire class in the after-school program
• Providing close support to students to aid their learning and social interactions
• Maintaining regular contact with guardians when needed

You will work according to the curriculum goals in LGR22 and participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the after-school program’s pedagogical activities together with your team. As a Resource Assistant, you support students’ development and ensure a safe environment.

You will collaborate closely with after-school educators, preschool teachers, subject teachers, and other staff. The activity is built on jointly decided structures, pedagogical methods, and adaptations. All employees are expected to work consistently according to the organization’s shared approach to create familiarity and safety for students.

The position is part-time (50%) and scheduled for afternoon hours.

Qualifications & Merits

You have:

• Education as a childcare worker or equivalent education/experience
• Very good proficiency in Swedish (both spoken and written)

Meritorious qualifications:

• Experience working in an integrated (age-homogeneous) after-school program
• Experience from after-school care or other pedagogical activities
