Do you want to make a real difference in students' learning in mathematics? Fredsborgskolan is now looking for an experienced, engaged, and skilled lead teacher in mathematics, preferably with special education qualifications.

Fredsborgskolan is an independent primary school located in Österåker Municipality and is part of the Cedergren Group. The school currently has approximately 920 students from preschool class to grade 9, divided into two units: grades F-6 and 7-9.

As a lead teacher here, you will play a central role in creating a positive and safe learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop both academically and socially. You provide secure and clear leadership, creating structure through clear frameworks and expectations.

About the position

In your role as a lead teacher, you will primarily teach students with significant challenges in mathematics at the lower secondary level. You will work closely with students, teachers, and the school's student health team. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on special educational interventions, both individually and in small groups.

As a lead teacher, you are part of the school's pedagogical leadership group, consisting of 10 lead teachers, three assistant principals, and the principal. In the coming school year, the systematic quality work will focus on USiP and Bravo Lesson. This involves driving pedagogical development regarding teaching skills in practice, where observations and supervision will be central components.

In addition, you will collaborate with a lead teacher in mathematics working in grades F-6. Together, you will be responsible for developing the "Fredsborg Model" in mathematics to increase student goal achievement. The Fredsborg Model involves targeted interventions of various kinds and has been in place for some time at the lower secondary level. We now wish to further develop the model for grades 4–9, and this work will commence this school year.

We have also chosen to invest in a digital learning platform called Magma. The aim is for the material to help us highlight success factors and knowledge gaps among students, while facilitating the learning process for educators.

Qualifications

  • Authorized teacher in mathematics, preferably with a Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on mathematics.
  • Good knowledge of mathematical difficulties and differentiated instruction.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership skills and previous experience leading teachers in quality improvement work.
  • A solution-focused approach and a view of collaboration as a natural part of the job.

Position level: 80–100% with start date Autumn 2026.

Does this sound like your next challenge? We welcome your application!
