Qualified Upper Secondary Teacher in Swedish and English at Sjömansskolan
SJÖMANSSKOLAN STOCKHOLM ABStockholms län, Stockholm
Previous experience is desired
We are looking for a qualified and licensed upper secondary school teacher who has the ability to stimulate students with diverse needs and prior knowledge. You will work with student groups that need to develop skills required for higher education, as well as groups that need to improve their language skills to pass the mandatory language instruction on a vocational program.
You have a strong commitment to student development and actively adapt learning to individual prerequisites and the direction of the education. We expect you to have good knowledge of the goals for upper secondary school subjects in Swedish and English. Familiarity with the requirements of the compulsory school system in these subjects is also considered an asset.
Standard teaching duties, such as mentorship, are included in the position. As we are a small school unit with only six employees, all staff are expected to take responsibility for operational areas outside of regular teaching duties. Interest in maritime affairs and technology is a plus.
The position is full-time (100%) and initially includes teaching in Swedish Level 1, Swedish Level 2, and English Level 1. From the autumn term of 2027, teaching in English Level 2 and Swedish Level 3 will be added.
Salary and start date are negotiable. Sjömansskolan applies a six-month probationary period.
Apply by sending your CV to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) by 2026-07-31. The recruitment process is ongoing from the date of publication.
Questions about the position can be directed to Principal Johan Östergren at 0708-815 740.
