At Hökarängsskolan, we are now looking for an engaged student assistant/nursing assistant for a student in grade 5 with diabetes. You will become part of a safe, competent, and team-oriented group where we together create the best conditions for every student. Hökarängsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 550 students, including an after-school center, youth club, and adapted primary school.

Your role
You will work as a student assistant/nursing assistant with responsibility for supporting a student in grade 5.
The assignment involves supporting the student in managing their diabetes and ensuring safety and participation in all school activities.
Duties include, among other things:
- Support in self-care related to diabetes, such as blood sugar checks and insulin management according to prescription
- Supervision and preventive work to ensure stable blood sugar levels during the school day
- Support during meals and physical activity
- Noticing and acting upon symptoms of high or low blood sugar
- Collaboration with guardians, teachers, and school health services
You work closely with the class teacher and other professionals around the student and are an important part of creating a functioning and safe whole.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for you who:
- Are trained as a nursing assistant or have equivalent experience
- Have knowledge of, or experience in, diabetes care (meritorious)
- Are confident in handling medical tasks or willing to learn this
- Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in a school setting
- Have a strong commitment to children's development and well-being
- Are calm, responsible, and structured
- Have good collaboration skills and thrive in close work with both students and colleagues
- Are flexible, receptive, and solution-focused

Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Provisions (AB).
