About the Workplace

Vistaskolan is a grades F-9 school with approximately 810 students and over 90 dedicated employees who contribute to students' development and success every day. Here, you will meet a strong sense of "we," high competence, and a stable staff group where many choose to stay for a long time – a clear testament to well-being and a good work environment.

We work consistently with the student in focus, which is reflected in our results. The school has high goal fulfillment, good merit values, and strong results in both knowledge and core values.

Our well-developed support organization is a central part of our success. The student health team consists of the principal, deputy principal, special educators, special needs teachers, school nurse, school psychologist, counselor, and social pedagogue. Together, we work systematically, preventively, and close to the work teams to create the best possible conditions for every student.

We have a clear organization with well-established routines and working methods. Vistaskolan is a school to be proud of – a place where both students and employees thrive, develop, and succeed.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator at Vistaskolan, you have a central role in strengthening students' learning and development, both at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You work systematically based on students' needs, current research, and proven experience.

You are part of the school's student health team and collaborate closely with school leadership, special needs teachers, teachers, and other professions. Together, you drive preventive and promoting student health work.

The position includes:

  • Working as a special educator focusing on grades F-2 and the school's special education groups (SU 1 2).
  • Planning and conducting special education, both individually and in smaller groups.
  • Conducting pedagogical assessments and investigations, as well as drawing up and following up on action plans.
  • Contributing to work with extra adaptations and special support.
  • Mentoring and supporting colleagues in pedagogical matters and leading development in the work teams.
  • Collaborating with guardians and external actors when necessary.
  • Documenting and following up on interventions and contributing to the school's systematic quality work.

As a special educator at Vistaskolan, you are part of the student health team and work both preventively and student-oriented to support students' knowledge development. The role combines teaching, mentoring colleagues, and coordinating support measures, while also contributing to the school's development work. You have an inclusive and solution-focused approach, lead processes, and support both students and work teams. Competence in Swedish as a second language is an advantage.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and trained special educator, with experience in teaching – preferably in lower secondary school.

You have good knowledge and are confident in translating steering documents into practice. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and see documentation as a natural part of your work.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

  • Have experience in special education and working with pedagogical investigations, extra adaptations, and action plans.
  • Have good digital competence, preferably with experience of systems like V-klass and Prorenata.
  • Have an interest in, and preferably experience of, working with students with other mother tongues.
  • Have good analytical skills and can analyze results at both individual and group levels.

We are looking for a secure and clear pedagogical leader who creates an inclusive learning environment with a focus on security, study peace, and high expectations. You are collaborative, solution-focused, and communicative, with the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Experience in preventive work within language, reading, and writing development, mentoring educators, and working with research-based methods and systematic follow-up of students' learning is an advantage.

At Vistaskolan, we value engagement, professionalism, and a positive work environment – and we are looking for you who want to contribute to this every day. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
