Viks School is looking for childcare workers/recreation staff for work in the after-school center (fritidshem)

Viks School is a municipal school with a cultural focus. The school is located about 6 km east of Gustavsberg in an older area close to forests and the sea. Viks School is a grades 1-6 school with approximately 520 students and around 80 employees.

Viks School consists of 6 after-school center sections as well as a club activity for older students. Viks School is organized into work teams. At Viks School, you will meet colleagues who are constantly developing the after-school operations.

Your Role

The role of recreation staff involves being part of the responsibility for planning, implementation, and evaluation of after-school activities in a student group. It also involves supporting individual students/student groups during the school day. The position entails close collaboration with class teachers in the class you work with, as well as collaboration in a work team with other teachers, recreation staff, and any resources.

Your Experience

We are looking for you who are a trained childcare worker or have other relevant education for the position. You have experience working in an after-school center.

Your Personal Qualities

You have a burning interest in development and learning, a conscious pedagogical approach where student participation and responsibility are a given. You need to be flexible and able to lead a group during school days and afternoon activities, as well as support individual students. You are used to taking responsibility and are a good role model for both students and guardians and colleagues. You are a present educator who finds it easy to collaborate with others and can focus on your assignment.
