Teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Näsbypark Resource School
About the job
The principal area of Näsbypark School consists of three schools: Slottsparksskolan (grades F–3), Norskolan (grades F–3), Näsbyparksskolan (grades 4–9), and Näsbypark Resource School (grades 4–9). Näsbypark Resource School operates its teaching in a separate part of Näsbyparksskolan. The school is beautifully located near both the sea and green areas. There are good transport links by bus and the Roslagsbanan railway, both options just a stone's throw away.
You will be part of Näsbypark Resource School, a smaller operation with approximately 20 students. Teaching takes place in small groups with high staff density, focusing on creating the conditions for every student to succeed. The position involves teaching Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) for students in grades 6–9.
The resource school has a specific focus on students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD). Here, we work with clear structure, adapted learning environments, and close collaboration between teachers, student health services, and other staff. As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for students who need more than the traditional school environment can offer.
With us, you will have the opportunity to teach in small groups where relationships, teaching quality, and student development are at the center. You will have time to see each student, adapt teaching based on individual needs, and work closely with colleagues in an engaged team. For many of our students, the adult relationship is a crucial factor for success in school, and as a teacher, you will become an important part of that journey.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who:
- has a teaching license with eligibility to teach Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 6–9
- has experience teaching in primary and lower secondary school
- has experience with or an interest in working with students with NPD
- is well-versed in the school's governing documents and works with clear goals and structures
- has a good ability to create positive and trusting relationships with students
- can adapt teaching based on students' individual needs
- works solution-focused and sees opportunities where others see obstacles
- is confident, flexible, and has a low-affective approach
- collaborates well with colleagues, guardians, and student health services
- documents and follows up on students' development in a structured manner.
Previous experience working in a resource school or other adapted teaching environment is an advantage.
As a person
You are an engaged and clear leader in the classroom who believes in every student's potential to succeed. You are structured, relationship-building, and have the ability to create motivation among students who may have lost faith in their own abilities. You appreciate working in a team and actively contribute to the development of the operation.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

About Täby Municipality
Täby is one of Sweden's best-run municipalities with great choice, high-quality welfare services, an attractive business climate, and a stable economy. The schools in the municipality achieve top results, the preschools offer a safe and stimulating environment, and satisfaction is high at the municipality's elderly care homes. The location is attractive with proximity to both Stockholm and Arlanda, while access to forests, sea, and walking areas provides opportunities for nature experiences and recreation.
Täby is developing with new attractive and safe environments and by further developing existing areas – sustainably, with care for cultural heritage and where larger contiguous green areas are preserved. Half of Täby should be green and all of Täby sustainable. Traffic and infrastructure should function in daily life and develop for the future.
Within the education operations area, we work towards high-set operational goals, and the merit values for Täby's municipal primary schools are among the highest in the country. Täby Academy for Pedagogical Professional Development, in collaboration with national and international universities such as Harvard, contributes to the municipality's educators and school leaders being at the forefront in Sweden. We work long-term and systematically to ensure that Täby has Sweden's highest educational quality where learning is accessible to every student.
