Mariekällskolan is a municipal school for grades 4-9 located centrally in Södertälje Municipality. The school has approximately 500 students and just over 70 employees. We are a multicultural school and are constantly working to develop and improve our methods to meet the needs of all students.
Learning and safety are at the forefront, and we regularly conduct follow-ups on results and attendance for all students, supported by an active student health team. The school's values are based on a culture of responsibility where it is important that everyone participates in defining needs and prioritizing together based on available resources.
Your Responsibilities
You will be part of the teaching team for grades 7–9 at Mariekällskolan. Your main responsibility is to plan and teach Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language in grades 7–9. In these subjects, we apply a two-teacher model, meaning you will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching together with a colleague.
The position also includes a shared mentorship role together with a colleague.
At the school, we actively work to make teaching accessible through a common lesson structure and language- and knowledge-developing approaches (SOKA). Together with the school leadership, dedicated educators in the teaching team, the student health team (EHT), and the safety team, we collaborate to promote the safety and knowledge development of all students.
As a teacher with us, you are expected to be development-oriented, reflect on, and continuously test and re-evaluate your teaching. You will actively participate in our collegial learning meetings (KLM), which are driven by the needs of the operation.
Who are you?
Requirements
- You are a qualified teacher with a teaching license for grades 7-9 in Swedish and Swedish as a Second Language.
- You are well-versed in the steering documents and the school as an organization.
- You plan your teaching based on the different needs and prerequisites of all students.
- We prefer that you have a few years of experience in teaching or working in a school, but newly graduated candidates are also welcome to apply.
Merits
- Good knowledge of NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) as well as language- and knowledge-developing approaches.
- Experience working in a school is a plus, but newly graduated candidates are also welcome.

- You are structured and responsible.
- You are unpretentious and view working with students as a team effort where everyone plays an important role.
- You are clear and confident in your leadership and maintain good relationships with both students and guardians as well as staff.
- You base your teaching on the students' strengths and have a belief that everyone can succeed with the right support.
