About the Workplace

The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the Primary and Secondary School Board. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. All our employees play a vital role in this.

Balingsnässkolan is a two-stream F-9 school (grades 1-9) and includes an Adapted Primary School for grades 7-9. There are approximately 600 students at the school, and the staff consists of about 80 employees. Balingsnässkolan is a modern and beautiful building located in a scenic terraced house and villa area in central Huddinge. The school has a large sports hall, practical-aesthetic rooms, and its own cooking kitchen. Students at Balingsnässkolan have access to iPads in preschool class, Chromebooks 1:1 in grades 1-9, and Smartboards in all classrooms.

We are organized into year-group working teams, so-called "home bases," where the educators in the team are responsible for and work together regarding all students in that year group.

We have two "Studios" at the school, which are support units where students who need extensive support can receive teaching in a smaller setting for part or all of the school day. The school's vision, "A safe school where knowledge brings joy and success," guides the school in its work towards a clear common goal.

About the Job

You will work as a lead teacher (rektorlärare), following students in grade 6. You will also have resource time in the position for younger children. This is a 50% temporary position for one academic year. You will not have mentorship responsibilities but will belong to the grade 6 working team and have frequent contact with guardians and all teaching teachers.

About You

You have experience working as a lead teacher or are a social pedagogue. You have the ability to see beyond students' limitations and, by preparing and anticipating needs, you can help students succeed.

You feel confident helping students with schoolwork in the classroom in grade 6 and have good skills in verbal and written Swedish.

You are flexible and have excellent collaboration skills, easily building good relationships and collaborating with students, guardians, the working team, the school's student health team, and school leadership. In your leadership, you are a clear leader and have the ability to create a work environment characterized by security, trust, and respect.

You see yourself as an integral part of creating good conditions for students' learning.
