About Us

Väddö Folk High School is one of Sweden's oldest folk high schools and is currently located in several municipalities in Stockholm County. We offer education focused on societal functions and individual development – ranging from general courses to vocational preparatory programs, vocational training, and upper secondary vocational education.

Among other programs, we offer a two-year assistant nurse education according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's national vocational package, a police preparatory education, and the vocational training Social Pedagogue with CBT and MI.

About the Position

We are now looking for an additional teacher for the Social Pedagogue with CBT and MI program. The education combines theory and practice and is aimed at participants who wish to work within healthcare, schools, and social work.

As a teacher, you will become an important part of the participants' development journey. You will:

• lead teaching and group exercises,
• use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and MI (Motivational Interviewing) as pedagogical tools and teach these methods,
• create structure, safety, and engagement in the classroom,
• see both the group as a whole and the individual's needs.

The position also involves teaching on our other programs, such as the assistant nurse education and the police preparatory education – providing variety and breadth in the work.

We are looking for you who

• Have experience in pedagogical leadership,
• Have worked within social work, healthcare, schools, or emergency services,
• Are confident in teaching and leading groups,
• Have knowledge and practical experience of CBT and MI,
• Wish to contribute to educating future professionals in societal roles.

Meritorious qualifications:

• CBT Step 1,
• Training in MI interview methodology within the last two years,
• Experience from adult education (folkbildning) or work at a folk high school.
