Qualified Primary School Teacher in Science (Grades 7-9)

IES Sundbyberg is a school for grades 4–9. We are a bilingual school following the Swedish national curriculum.

We are currently seeking a qualified primary school teacher with subject competence in Science/Nature-oriented subjects for grades 7–9 on a fixed-term contract from August 5 to June 16, 2027. A Swedish teaching license from the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) is required. The position includes shared mentorship responsibilities for a class in grades 7–9.

You have a positive view of people and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find teaching students from various countries fun, stimulating, and developmental, providing each student with the opportunity to grow based on their own prerequisites and abilities. You will be part of the Science Department subject team, as well as a working group within the grade level you teach.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct lessons based on our Ethos and routines.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to develop students' subject knowledge.
• Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community.

Qualifications:

• Teaching license from the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) in Science (NO).
• Very good proficiency in both Swedish and English.
