Lärande Grundskola Vira is in a development phase where we are gradually building our operations towards a full-scale F–9 school. For the upcoming academic year, we are looking for a German teacher for grades 6–9, covering 20% of a full-time position.

As the school continues to develop and expand its lower secondary section, we see that the need for modern language instruction will grow in the coming years, which could eventually lead to an expanded role.

At Lärande Grundskola, we work based on a pedagogical model called "The Learning Model." This model is built on team teaching, where teachers collaborate across subjects for a specific grade level to create coherence, context, and security for the students. Teaching is based on assignments built according to the Swedish National Curriculum (LGR22) with clear elements of cooperative and value-creating learning. Through close collaboration among colleagues, we create an inspiring learning environment where curiosity, creativity, and meaningful learning are at the center.

Responsibilities

As a German teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with the curriculum and the school's goals. You work to create a safe, clear, and stimulating learning environment where students are given the conditions to develop as much as possible based on their individual prerequisites.

The position includes, among other things:

• Plan and conduct German language instruction for students in grades 6–9
• Work with extra adaptations and support measures based on students' needs
• Follow up and document students' knowledge development
• Collaborate with colleagues, mentors, and student health services
• Contribute to the school's pedagogical development and joint quality work
• Create good relationships with students and guardians
• Use digital tools as support in teaching and students' learning

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with a license and eligibility to teach German for grades 6–9.

You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to create structure, motivation, and calm in the classroom. You work relationally and have clear leadership where students are met with high expectations, engagement, and respect.

We would like you to:

• Have experience teaching in lower secondary school
• Have good ability to lead and inspire groups of young people
• Be confident, clear, and solution-focused
• Work in a structured and quality-conscious manner
• Have good collaboration skills and be self-sufficient in your teaching
• Understand the importance of extra adaptations and individualized teaching
• Have good communication skills and an easy ability to build trusting relationships

Personal suitability will be given great weight.

Other

The position is a fixed-term appointment at 20% with the possibility of transition to a permanent position.

The person offered the position must provide an extract from the police criminal record in accordance with the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31–33 of the Swedish Education Act.
