Rösjöskolan is located in Edsberg, near nature reserves and Lake Rösjön. Approximately 420 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend this school. We offer school and leisure activities for students in regular primary school, adapted primary school, and preparatory classes. The school environment creates all prerequisites for movement, learning, and health, and our staff is driven by making a difference and creating conditions for every student to reach as far as possible in their knowledge development. The compensatory mission is significant, and the school actively works to create a socially and academically promoting environment.

We have now confirmed that we will start an additional class this autumn at Rösjöskolan. Therefore, we are looking for a new colleague for our adapted primary school. Come and make a real difference!

This is a permanent position at 100%, starting in August or as agreed.

Responsibilities

We continue to grow and are now looking for another special needs teacher to join our wonderful team at the adapted primary school. Together with your colleagues, you will create the best conditions for students' learning and development. Your work involves planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing teaching in the classroom. You are responsible for leading and following up on teaching together with the work team and actively participating in the work towards the school's goals.

In teaching, you use both digital and analog tools in a thoughtful way to strengthen student participation and development. The work is based on a salutogenic approach, where your perspective is an important puzzle piece in creating good learning environments and giving students the best possible conditions for success.

Qualifications

As a special needs teacher, you build trusting relationships with students and see the relationship as a central part of learning. You are independent, take initiative, and are communicative, while confidently driving your work forward and able to conduct conversations and dialogues in an inclusive and structured manner. To thrive in this role, you need to appreciate collaboration and a dynamic workplace, and you view learning as a process where both students and adults are constantly developing.

Requirements:

• You have a teaching license and are a special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability.

Merits:

• Experience working as a special needs teacher in adapted primary school
• Experience and knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), PECS, and/or TBA
• Good knowledge of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders (NPD) in combination with intellectual disability (ID)
