Hökarängsskolan is a comprehensive school (grades 0-9) with approximately 550 students, including after-school centers, youth clubs, and adapted primary education.

Your role

You will work as a teaching assistant in preschool class, responsible for supporting a student throughout the school day and the after-school day.

The assignment involves providing close, individualized support in the student's daily life – both pedagogically and care-wise. You help the student create structure, participate in activities, and feel safe in all parts of the school day.

The tasks include among other things:

• Support with dressing and mobility
• Help with meals, including tube feeding
• Support with toilet visits and personal care
• Facilitating the student's participation in teaching and after-school activities
• Contributing to a safe, predictable, and developmental day for the student

You work closely with class teachers, after-school staff, and student health services, and are an important part of creating a functioning whole around the student.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience working as a teaching assistant, nursing assistant, or similar
• Have experience with – or are comfortable learning – medical procedures such as tube feeding
• Have a strong commitment to children's development and well-being
• Are secure, calm, and responsible in your role
• Have good collaboration skills and thrive in close work with both colleagues and the student
• Are flexible, sensitive, and solution-focused

It is meritorious if you have experience working with students in need of extensive support.
