Your new job

As a Registry Clerk, you will be a key part of the work regarding information management and archive issues within the City Office, collaborating closely with colleagues in the department's various functions, including data protection and information security.

The role of Registry Clerk involves, among other things, assessing, registering, and handling public documents in accordance with current legislation, regulations, and internal procedures regarding registration and dispatch. You provide service and support to both the operations and the public, while maintaining efficient and legally secure diary registration with high quality. You also contribute to our joint efforts to continuously develop our routines and processes, working towards digitalization and efficiency.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, you hold a university degree in public administration, political science, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer. Previous experience working within public administration or a politically governed organization is advantageous, as is experience in information management and archiving. You have good knowledge of municipal and administrative law and possess excellent command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is also a requirement.

As a person, you are responsible and have the ability to independently structure, plan, and drive your work to achieve the goals and deadlines outlined in the assignment. You are meticulous and committed to delivering high-quality work with good results. You enjoy being the hub of the network, working collaboratively with others, and communicating and solving tasks in an independent and constructive manner. You have a desire and interest in helping others and strive to find solutions to emerging issues or problems. You have the ability to consider multiple perspectives in issues and adapt your actions based on emerging needs.

Welcome to us

The Secretariat Unit is part of the Administrative Division at the City Office, responsible for committee administration for, among others, the Municipal Assembly, the Municipal Executive Board, the Election Board, and the Public Guardianship Board. The core of the secretariat's responsibility is the direct support to the central political bodies, encompassing the entire process from mail opening, registry, case preparation, political processing, to archiving. The secretariat also supports case preparation and assists the Election Board with administration and the execution of elections. The City Office's caretaker services also operate from the secretariat.

Within the Secretariat Unit, characterized by a strong team and service spirit, you will work with experienced colleagues. We plan to conduct the first interviews during weeks 30 and 31.

The position is a fixed-term contract extending until May 2028, with a possibility of extension.
