Our organization consists of employees with diverse competencies, each playing a crucial role in maintaining legal certainty and high quality at all levels. The court has approximately 65 employees divided into two departments, a registry unit, and an administrative unit. The Administrative Court of Appeal in Jönköping is one of four administrative courts of appeal. It is a general administrative court that primarily handles cases appealed from an administrative court. The court handles a very large number of case types. Approximately 4,000 cases arrive at the court annually, mainly concerning disputes between individuals and authorities.

The role of Court Clerk suits you if you want a qualified administrative job in a socially important operation.
You will work closely with judges and contribute to ensuring that cases are handled legally, efficiently, and with high quality. The work is varied and requires structure, precision, and good service.
You will belong to the registry unit, which is responsible for case processing as well as administrative support and service to the court's lawyers, parties, and the public. The unit consists of approximately 10 employees and is led by a registry manager.
The position is fixed-term and will be filled during a period when one of our employees is on leave.

Job Responsibilities
In the role of Court Clerk, you will:
- process cases and matters
- receive, register, and handle incoming documents
- summon parties to hearings
- be responsible for correspondence and monitor deadlines
- dispatch judgments and decisions
- have daily contact with parties, representatives, authorities, and the public, primarily via phone and e-mail
You work independently within set frameworks and handle multiple cases in parallel. The work requires you to prioritize, plan, and keep order even when the pace is fast.

Requirements
To be considered for the position, you need:
- to have completed and passed upper secondary education
- to have current experience in administrative and service-oriented work, which the employer deems relevant for the position
- to have very good computer skills and experience with digital systems
- to have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Merits
It can be meritorious if you:
- have experience working as a case handler or in a registry at a court or other government agency
- have relevant education, such as paralegal, registrar, or archival administrative education, or education within public administration

Application, Selection, and Appointment

The employment is a fixed-term appointment according to Section 5 of the Employment Protection Act (1982:80) and lasts for at least six months and at most twelve months.
Work psychological tests are included in the selection process. Prior to a possible employment, register checks will also be conducted according to our routines.
Salary Type: Monthly salary.
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, Start Date: 2026-10-01 or as agreed.
