What we offer

Nya Rösparksskolan is a new school (grades F-4) located in central Åmål, close to nature and a pleasant outdoor environment, with walking distance to an ice hall and swimming pool.

The school was newly built in January 2023 and currently accommodates approximately 400 students and 70 staff members. We also have access to a new attached sports hall for teaching in both school and after-school care (fritidshem).

We work in teaching teams with a focus on learning, learning environments, and adaptations at both group and individual levels. At our school, teamwork is central; you will be part of a whole and contribute together with your colleagues to learning and development. Pedagogical diversity with the student's own learning at the center is our priority.

Your role

We are looking for an after-school care teacher (lärare i fritidshem) who would thrive in our environment to create the best possible conditions for students and staff together with colleagues. As an after-school care teacher at Rösparksskolan, you will have the opportunity to independently, in collaboration with colleagues, drive and develop the after-school care activities with the students' learning in focus.

You will be an important part of a teaching team that meets every week, where the emphasis is on shared learning and collegial support. This working method is the foundation for our entire operation and provides good conditions for joint development work and planning of activities/teaching.

For this role, we see that you have a positive, flexible, and solution-focused outlook. You are confident in yourself with good self-awareness and a strong sense of structure. You are a team player but also have the ability to work independently when the work requires it. For this position, personal suitability is highly valued.

Formal requirements

- Certified teacher in after-school care (lärare i fritidshem)

- Digital identification via BankID

- Category B driver's license

Merits

Qualification to teach in an additional subject or activity.

Employment

Subject to necessary approvals, we offer a permanent position at 100% with a start date of August 10, 2026, or by agreement. The employment may begin with a probationary period.

The position is currently located at Nya Rösparksskolan within the Culture and Education Administration, which is organized directly under the Culture and Education Committee. Your direct supervisor is the Deputy Principal.
