Teacher of Spanish (and Swedish) at Toftaskolan

Toftaskolan is located in Munka-Ljungby in Ängelholm Municipality and, from the autumn term of 2026, will be a dedicated lower secondary school with approximately 300 students in grades 7–9 and around 30 dedicated educators. The school area also includes Össjö School (grades F–6) and Tåssjö Camp School.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an operation where the quality of teaching and student learning are in focus.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and following up on Spanish instruction for grades 7–9. You create a clear and structured learning environment where students are given good conditions to develop their knowledge, feel motivated, and reach as far as possible in their knowledge development.

Spanish is the main subject of the position. If you also have qualifications in Swedish, we see this as particularly valuable. Teaching in Swedish may form part of the position depending on the operational needs. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you have an interest in students' language, reading, and writing development, and wish to contribute to strengthening students' linguistic abilities throughout the entire lower secondary period.

You work with high expectations, clear structure, and a conscious focus on student participation, motivation, and learning.

You will become part of a work team where we value collaboration, professional dialogue, and a shared responsibility for student development. Through collegial learning, analysis, and joint reflection, we continuously develop teaching as part of the school's systematic quality work.

The position also includes shared mentorship together with a colleague. As a mentor, you follow students' knowledge development, support them in their studies, and contribute to a safe, structured, and motivating school experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Spanish in grades 7–9.

Qualifications in Swedish for grades 7–9 are highly meritorious and will be prioritized in the selection process, as teaching in Swedish may be included in the position depending on operational needs. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you have good competence in language, reading, and writing development, as well as an interest in supporting students' linguistic development.

Experience teaching at the lower secondary level is meritorious. You feel confident in your professional role and have a clear focus on student learning, development, and goal achievement.
