At Malmö Idrottsgymnasium (Malmö Sports Upper Secondary School), we are looking for a teacher to teach Danish combined with Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, or English. This is a 50% fixed-term position for the autumn term of 2026.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher, you work to ensure that students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their individual prerequisites. Your duties include planning, teaching, and assessment, as well as evaluating and developing the pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governing documents.

We are a learning organization that promotes knowledge exchange, where you operate in an environment characterized by collegial learning and development. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to the quality and development work at the school.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Teaching certification
• Qualification to teach Danish at the upper secondary level
• Experience in teaching/pedagogical work
• Proficiency in using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
• Good understanding of school goals and governing documents
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Excellent proficiency in Danish, both spoken and written.

Merits:

• Qualification to teach Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, or English
• Experience teaching Danish.

About the Workplace

Malmö Idrottsgymnasium is located at Eledastadion in the Stadium area in central Malmö. Here we offer the preparatory Economics Programme, the Natural Science Programme, and the Social Science Programme. In addition, we offer the vocational Sales and Service Programme. Within the framework of adapted upper secondary education, we offer the national Health, Care, and Social Work Programme.
