Job Responsibilities

Neptuniskolan is currently looking for a new Study and Career Counselor as our current counselor is moving on to new adventures. As a Study and Career Counselor at our school, you will guide and inform our students and their guardians about upper secondary education, high school choices, career opportunities, and the future labor market. You will encourage our students' interest and curiosity regarding their upcoming choices and directions, contributing to increasing their general knowledge of working life.

You will hold counseling sessions with individual students and occasionally with student groups, while collaborating with the student health team and other staff members to ensure students achieve their goals. In connection with PA (Practical Work Life Orientation), you will play an active role as the Study and Career Counselor.

Qualifications

You, the applicant, hold a university degree as a Study and Career Counselor. Experience working as a Study and Career Counselor, particularly in primary and lower secondary school, is considered an asset. You have a good understanding of the school's goals and current regulatory documents. As a person, you are structured, experienced in working both independently and in a team, and possess strong communication skills. You have good collaboration skills, are outgoing, proactive, and have a respectful and coaching approach with an understanding of individuals' different needs and circumstances.
