Ljungbyhedsskolan is located approximately 12 km from the center of Klippan in a beautiful natural area with the forest and Rönneå as nearest neighbors. We are a school for grades F-9 with approximately 370 students in total, including an after-school center for about 100 students. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a teacher of Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7-9 at Ljungbyhedsskolan, you have an important and developmental assignment where you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating high-quality teaching that awakens students' curiosity and understanding of the world. You translate theory into practice through laboratory work and adapt pedagogy so that it becomes both understandable and engaging for the students. The role includes mentorship, where you support students' knowledge-based and personal development through secure, clear, and relationship-building leadership. You help us build a non-hierarchical and cohesive work team where collaboration, collegial exchange, and a shared commitment to students' goal achievement and well-being are at the center.

In your role as a Senior Teacher (Förstelärare), you actively work to increase goal achievement by developing teaching and serving as a professionally skilled pedagogical role model. You support colleagues through guidance, observation, and modeling of teaching, with a special focus on strengthening new or less experienced teachers. You also serve as a support for the principal in the school's pedagogical development work. Together with the development group, you contribute to quality assurance through follow-up and analysis of the operations.

As a Senior Teacher, you have 40 hours of workplace-based time.

The duration of the assignment varies between 1-3 years.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7-9 and have a good ability to translate curriculum goals into clear and engaging teaching. You are a secure role model with strong and relationship-building leadership in the classroom, and you have a good understanding of adolescent development. The role requires that you have good pedagogical and didactic skills and that you are skilled at adapting your teaching to meet each student's unique prerequisites and needs. Furthermore, you are a team player with good collaboration skills who values collegial exchange. You communicate fluently in spoken and written Swedish to professionally collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians, and you master digital technology.

To be considered for the Senior Teacher position, you must have teacher certification and at least four years of well-evaluated experience in the teaching profession.

Duration: Permanent, start date: 2025-08-13 or as agreed.
