Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for you who are a teacher for grades 4–6! You will be part of a team of teachers where you together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, as well as deciding on any needs for, for example, subject integration or project studies in your teaching. Your focus lies in creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.
You will teach students in grades 4–6 in English, Swedish, Mathematics, and Social Studies, where you educate and support the students in their social and knowledge-based development. You challenge students to take their own initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. With us, you are offered the opportunity for development, interesting assignments, and work in close collaboration with educators throughout the school's operations. In addition to your team of teachers, you will collaborate with practical-esthetic subjects, leisure center staff, and be led by a manager who is close to the operations and engaged in the school's teaching and quality.
Your assignment will also include mentorship for students in your class and grade. In your role as a mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, through which you get the opportunity to follow them more closely in their academic development and personal maturity. As a mentor, you inform and keep the student's guardians updated on the student's academic development through regular development meetings.
Qualifications
You who apply are a licensed teacher with eligibility for teaching grades 4–6 in English, Swedish, Mathematics, and Social Studies. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we see this as an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Experience with cooperative structures is an advantage. Likewise, experience in planning in working groups is an advantage.
Naturally, you have a professional attitude and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. It is important that you see opportunities in collaboration and think that all students are everyone's responsibility. You feel secure in your leadership, have the ability to adapt teaching and activities so that students succeed based on their unique conditions. And to work in a team and see development work as an important part of your assignment.
