Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a substitute teacher for Höjaskolan and our team in grades 7-9. Here you will have the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues in an open and supportive environment where collegial exchange and learning are second nature. As a teacher with us, you will be responsible for planning and teaching in Social Studies (So) as well as Spanish, and assessing your students' acquired knowledge. You will teach students in grades 6-9. Your lesson planning may be done individually or in collaboration with your colleagues. Your teaching is modern and creative, aiming to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development. The role also includes mentorship for incoming grade 7. You will also be involved in ongoing development work.

This development work involves actively collaborating with other school staff to maintain and uphold a good learning and working environment for students and employees at our school. Currently, we are focusing on a joint investigative project where you, together with your closest colleagues, have significant influence over your development work. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach grades 7–9 in Social Studies and Spanish for grades 6-9. Experience working as a teacher in primary school is an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills, allowing you to lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and practice, work efficiently with relevant digital tools. As a person, you have good collaboration skills and work towards building good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. Furthermore, you have an open and non-hierarchical approach to your work; you are direct and clear in your communication, not afraid to ask for help, and keep the students' needs in focus.
