The Child and Youth Administration is responsible for preschools, after-school centers, primary schools, and adapted primary schools (grades F-9). In total, we are approximately 1,100 people working to provide good operations for our children and students today and prepare them for the future. As staff in our administration, you create conditions together with us for children's and students' desire to learn and their opportunities to succeed.

Adapted Primary School Nolhaga is a small school unit with approximately 10 staff members and just under 20 students. The school's premises are integrated into Nolhaga Primary School (grades 7-9), which creates good conditions for collaboration and inclusion. The school is located in beautiful surroundings with proximity to beautiful park environments, playgrounds, and sports facilities. The proximity to the city center is also an asset for the school's operations. We organize ourselves based on whether students are studying subjects or subject areas, and we are looking for you who can imagine teaching both subjects and subject areas.

DUTIES

As a special education teacher, you lead teaching and pedagogical work. You are to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the students' individual development levels and needs by adapting content, methods, and materials to promote learning and participation. You will also work with clarifying pedagogy, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and structured teaching. Your role also includes drawing up, following up, and evaluating individual development plans (IDP) and, if necessary, action programs.

You will among other things work with:

  • Student focus and learning environment: The work involves creating a safe and accessible school environment through pedagogical assessments, adaptations, and careful documentation according to guidelines.
  • Collaboration and supervision: A central part is the close cooperation with the student health team, colleagues, and guardians, where supervision in special pedagogical issues and coordination of measures are in focus.
  • Quality and development work: The assignment includes driving the school's pedagogical development forward through systematic quality work.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Licensed teacher with a special education degree focused on intellectual disability
  • Experience working in adapted primary schools or with students in need of extensive support
  • Good knowledge of the school's steering documents, especially the Curriculum for Adapted Primary School (Lgr22)
  • Ability to plan and implement individualized teaching
  • Experience working with clarifying pedagogy and structured teaching
  • Good digital competence and familiarity with using digital learning tools
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

Merits:

You work in a structured and clear manner, are good at collaborating, and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are flexible in your teaching and adapt it to the students' needs and daily condition. Above all, you have a strong commitment to the students' development and learning.

Employment type: Permanent position.
