Franska Skolan Gothenburg is now looking for an engaged, certified, and experienced middle school teacher in core subjects and Social Studies (SO) or Natural Sciences (NO)!

About Us

Franska Skolan Gothenburg is a private school with a French profile, and we follow the Swedish curriculum. This means that teaching takes place in Swedish, but all our students study French at different levels for three hours per week. The school is run as a non-profit association with Medborgarskolan as the main operator. The school is not profit-driven, and any financial surplus is reinvested into the operations. Franska Skolan is parallel in grades F-3. From grades 4-9, the school is two-parallel.

Franska Skolan Gothenburg is located in the center of Gothenburg and has two school buildings near Kapellplatsen. Grades F-5 and after-school care are located at Landalagången 3, and grades 6-9 are at Molinsgatan 7. We are a smaller school, and here we value the close contact between children, parents, and staff. There are currently 385 primary school students at the school.

About the Position

We currently have a full-time position and a part-time position at 60% available.

Responsibilities

Teaching in grades 4-6, including homeroom teacher duties, assessment, and grading. The school year 26-27 will consist of teaching in grades 4-5.

You will work both independently and in close collaboration with other staff. You will be part of a teacher working group.

Qualifications

• Teacher certification and eligibility in core subjects and Social Studies (SO) or Natural Sciences (NO).
• Good relational skills and the ability to meet young people with both warmth and clarity, where students find support in their development.
• Ability to teach in an interest-generating manner according to the curriculum's guidelines and guide students forward in their development within the subjects.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Good communication skills and experience in meeting and communicating with both students, guardians, and colleagues.

In reference to the laws regulating register control, the person offered this position must provide an extract from the criminal record register before an employment contract can be drawn up.
