About the Workplace
Do you want to develop our after-school center and school environment together with colleagues so that all students are given the prerequisites for success? Then this is a mission for you!
Forshällaskolan is located in the countryside, approximately one mile south of Uddevalla. The school is a grades F–6 school with approximately 420 students distributed across 20 classes in the autumn term of 2026. We have four after-school center departments at the school, with 220 enrolled children. The number of pedagogical staff at the school is approximately 50. In addition to the pedagogical staff, there is a student health team consisting of the principal, deputy principal, counselor, special needs educator, and school nurse.
Responsibilities
As a teacher for the after-school center, you plan and implement activities according to the curriculum, always with a focus on meeting both individual and group needs. You work closely with colleagues in an inclusive and supportive team where collaboration, creativity, and continuous development are a natural part of everyday life.

We believe you are a confident and reflective educator who is accustomed to leading student groups at the after-school center and in social interaction. You have good self-insight, exude calmness and clarity, and have the ability to meet each student at their level. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities – you are flexible, responsible, and show a professional attitude in meetings with students, colleagues, and guardians.
You have a good balance between structure and creativity, view collegial learning as a natural part of everyday life, and are happy to share both ideas and energy.
Qualifications
Employment is subject to necessary decisions being made. For positions where the work involves direct and regular contact with children and young people, as well as for operations within LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), care and assistance, health and medical care, psychiatric care, and addiction care, a valid extract from the police criminal record must be presented or submitted prior to employment. Please note that it may take time to obtain the extract, so order it well in advance to avoid delaying the recruitment process.
