Teacher for After-School Center – Frösve School, Skövde

In this role, you will become part of the Child and Education Sector. At our organization, the development of children and young people is at the forefront. About Frösve School

Frösve School is located in Stöpen and features a large, lovely schoolyard that invites learning, play, and movement. Approximately 320 students attend the school. The school has three work teams working with students in grades F–3, 4–6, as well as the after-school center. All adults share a common responsibility for the students. We value good cooperation with the students' guardians.

At Frösve School, we aim to create a shared vision for the student's entire school day and develop good cooperation between the school and the after-school center. We also have a Safety Team at the school where the after-school center is a natural part. We have collegial cooperation with all after-school centers in the northern school area.

Frösve School is currently undergoing renovation and expansion. At present, Frösve School is evacuated. During the next academic year, grades F–3 will be at Frösve School, and grades 4–6 will be at Stöpen School. The school will gradually begin to gather at Frösve School again during 2027, which we look forward to!

Responsibilities

We are looking for a creative and engaged teacher for the after-school center who can help develop our after-school activities for grades F–6. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating after-school activities and being present during parts of the school day. You will gain a holistic view of how students and groups function in the classroom and in after-school activities. The students are at the center of focus, but your role also involves close collaboration with other professional groups at the school. You collaborate with the school in teaching and organize break-time activities. At Frösve School, you make a significant difference for the student.

We want to be a leading after-school center by bringing knowledge and skills to life in the after-school center's activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a teaching license with a focus on after-school centers, is educated as a leisure-time pedagogue, or is a licensed preschool teacher.

It is important to us that you have a developed ability to build good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. For you, good collaboration is a given. We assume you are accustomed to handling digital tools in a way that suits and benefits the development of the student and the activity. To begin working in preschool, school, after-school centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority (www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se)).

Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, engaged, or received in the activity according to current legal requirements.
