Description of our operations:

Paradisskolan is a grades 4–9 school where we work based on a common holistic view, value base, and approach to strong leadership in the classrooms. Job responsibilities included in the position:

We are looking for a Student Support Assistant. We see that through your solid knowledge of what facilitates learning, you contribute support and solutions regarding clarifications, aids, and structure in the physical and psychosocial environment. This applies to all students, but specifically to students with functional variations. The duties include both work with individual students and students in smaller groups. You will be involved in planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on the pedagogical activities together with the team, where the teacher has the ultimate responsibility for the teaching. You enjoy and are good at working with others, but can also take responsibility on your own and should be a good adult role model in everything you do.

Qualifications we are looking for in you:

For this position, the following are required:

• Education as a student assistant, support teacher, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Knowledge of different functional variations and how they affect an individual student's learning, as well as what this may imply in relation to the surroundings and environment.
• Knowledge of low-affective interaction and clarifying pedagogy in both theory and practice.
• A sense of mission where the goal is always for every student to reach as far as possible in their learning.
• That you are responsible, work well in a team, but also independently.
• That you can provide good references from previous work with children/students that show you can put your knowledge into practice.

Meritorious is experience working with older students in middle school who need support in various ways, but also positive if you have worked in a special education group where several students with support needs work as a group. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
