Fågelvikskolan is a secondary school for grades 7–9 with approximately 350 students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher's assistant, you relieve teachers of various tasks. Together with other colleagues with the same role, you are a support function that works in a service-oriented and solution-focused manner.

Examples of tasks for you as a teacher's assistant:

• Support students in exercises, individual work, or group work during lesson time.
• Assist in creating a calm working atmosphere, well-being, and safety in and outside the classrooms.
• Guide students to the right location.
• Act as class supervisor/mentor.
• Prepare lesson rooms and fetch and put away teaching materials. Assist with order in other common areas.
• Copy and prepare teaching materials, make simple corrections, and document results.
• Create visual schedules for the school day's lessons and for individual subjects.
• Be present during exams.
• Administer and distribute orders for consumable materials and textbooks.
• Administer the distribution of student lockers.
• Recruit and introduce substitutes.
• Welcome and introduce new staff, including associated administrative tasks upon hiring.
• Book interpreters or other types of meetings and receive external visitors.
• Assist students with practical IT support and lost items.

A large part of the role is directed towards supporting individual students during lesson time and assisting in creating a calm working atmosphere, well-being, and safety in and outside the classrooms.

You will be part of a work team together with other professions with student-supportive roles, such as student assistants, social pedagogues, and youth leaders. The Deputy Principal is your direct manager.

Together with the colleague group, you focus on providing conditions for an accessible and flexible learning environment and teaching, where we start from the premise that the student does not just "is," but "becomes" in a context.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a teacher's assistant or have other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working in primary/secondary school is meritorious.

As a person, it is important that you are interested in working in a service-oriented manner towards colleagues and that you enjoy working with young people.

You need to have a collaborative approach combined with the ability to take initiative when the situation requires it.

Salary form: Monthly salary.

Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10 or as soon as possible.
