About Us

As a native language teacher with us, you teach students from all schools in the municipality in their native language. The teaching is located at Fuxernaskolan. You will become part of the multilingual unit and collaborate closely with the head of student health services who is responsible for the operations. Together, we work to strengthen students' language development and contribute to their knowledge development in school.

The purpose of native language teaching is to give students the opportunity to develop their knowledge of and about their language. The native language is of great importance for children's language development as well as their identity, personality, and cognitive development. A well-developed native language provides good prerequisites for learning Swedish, other languages, and other school subjects.

The teaching follows the curricula for compulsory school and adapted compulsory school, and grades are set according to the same principles as in other subjects.

Your Role

As a native language teacher, you are responsible for teaching the subject of native language for students in grades 1–9 in the municipality's compulsory schools. In your role, you will:

• Be responsible for teaching native language for students in grades 1–9.
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to current governing documents.
• Work with formative assessment and grading.
• Create an stimulating learning environment that supports students' linguistic and personal development.
• Collaborate with students' guardians and the school's other staff.
• Use digital tools as support in teaching.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified native language teacher or has another academic education that can be considered suitable for pedagogical work.
• has experience of teaching in Swedish schools.
• has documented good knowledge of Swedish and Albanian.
• is computer literate and accustomed to working with digital tools.

We are looking for someone who is structured and independent and has good collaboration skills. You also have good ability to lead and motivate students in their learning. Personal suitability is highly valued.
